250 CABRINI BOULEVARD Hudson Heights Manhattan
For this 9-story apartment building, designed in 1936 by noted Art Moderne Architects Boak and Paris, we prepared and bid out detailed drawings and specifications for a building-wide 800-window replacement. The building had undergone prior window replacements that were incongruous with the original architects’ intent. Narrow double hung window units had been crowded into the corner openings. Our redesign is comprised of operable casements with fixed-pane corner picture windows which reinstate the wide-open views of the river and neighborhood. We assisted with bidding and contractor selection and reviewed all shop drawings. For the duration of the installation, we provided full-time inspection and construction administration through to the closeout of the project.
